I m holding F1 visa. My 2nd master ends in May. My PhD program starts in September/October. Is it legal to stay in the U.S. during the gap time? Is there any way to stay legal during such interval of time? I know that there is only 60 days of grace period after a program's graduation. But I'd like to spend time and money to invest in some classes or certificate that is helpful to my career than in coming back my home country and a long procedure of applying for a new visa again. I rather go back home in my PhD winter break. I also used up OPT for the 1st master. Any advices please? Thanks!
