Must Travel after expiry of F1 Visa, How to come back to US with out any issues ?

Hi.. I have finished my masters this month and also started working from April 2013. My OPT started in April and is valid till May 2014. My student visa is going to be expired on Aug 1st, 2013 as I got only 2 yrs visa. My problem is, I have to travel to India definitely during Sept-Oct 2013. As my visa is going to expire in august, I cannot come back to US again. Can any one suggest me on how to extend my visa and how to come back to US with out any issues...

If I enroll for subjects in the school and apply for an extension, can I continue my job on OPT simultaneously with the subjects? Plz help me to get out of this issue....

I had the same situation.. Since I had job and I'm on OPT.. I was able to renew my student visa.. And you have to renew your visa in the same visa consulate where your expired visa was issued previously. You just have to have a letter from your employer, offer letter from client/employer, OPT i-20, EAD card... Mssg me.. I can give more info.. Good luck!

If you have a job or an offer it shouldn't poise any issues during ur reentry... A letter from the employer... Your updated i-20 would suffice your requirements... All you gottta do is renew your visa...

so it seems that we can get a F1 stamp while in India on a valid OPT? I am very confused since I read that F1 visas get rejected while on OPT.

yes we can do that. We can get stamping from whatever the consulate you came earlier while you are on OPT. And getting stamped or rejected depends on the what kind of firm you are working for. In my case I didn't face any tricky questions either at visa interview or port of entry. I honestly don't know if it is of luck or it is how it works.
