My OPT STEM is expiring on June 30,2015. There is one school where session is starting from June 29(Summer) and another where session start date is September(Fall). I am wondering if I take admission in school 1 with June 29 start date and then decide not to join and join September session school, am I going to be out of status for some time? My F-1 Visa is good until Dec 2015. Please advise.

I am aware of 60 days grace period. What I am asking here is suppose if I join the university whose session is starting from June 29,2015 onwards and then I decide to join another university whose Fall session starts from September, do I need totake transfer from 1st university to another? How do I remain on status during that period of time ?Originally posted by DesiOPT-FaceBook-Fan View PostYou have two or three months grace time to leave the country. By this time dso will update your sevis. It should not be a problem. Better take admission and talk to dso..
