gap in education while on f-1 visa , will it affect my opt or h1 chances

hello everyone,
i was at xyz university till fall 2014 and due to low gpa of 2.6 i had to transfer out of the university and currently in a small english lang school to maintain my status and now i am planning to join university in fall 2015 as no university is offering me admission for summer term and they are telling to wait till fall , so the gap in education for two semester will it in any way affect my opt or h-1b visa chances for the future and if any university is offering the summer admission please help me with this situation .
