Passport lost with F1 stamp

Hello,

I am a graduate student and is graduating in 15th May 2015. I have a job offer from one of the big firm. But unfortunately, I have lost my passport while applying for OPT. I have sent the required documents to USCIS and fortunately ,, I have scanned copies of my passport and visa (bth digital and printed). I am applying for the new passport at New York CGI. My question are
1) Do I have to report loss of visa to US embassy ? If so will my opt will get affected while processing ?
*Will there be any problem if I don't go to India for restamping of F1? Do I have to appear for interview or its just a drop box process?
2) Will I get the same number on my Passport as old one?
3) If I am getting new passport, will that automatically expires my visa?
4) What are the chances of getting replaced visa if I apply now?
5) Do I have to apply for new I 94? I have never traveled outside USA.
6) If I get H1B and go for the stamping of my H1B without F1 visa stamping on my passport , will that be a problem?
7) Please suggest other facts that I need to understand.

I appreciate your any help in this regard. I hope I am not the only one who is screwed like this . Please help me out .

Hello, similar situation for me as my passport was lost couple of months back and then after applying for new passport I got the new one. It is without visa. I have the photocopy of old visa and other supporting documents. I am in my last semester.
1. So to apply for OPT and SSN do I need to have visa on my new passport?
2. Also, can I be in trouble during my job search or OPT due to this visa issue? (Please reply as if it is required or mandatory I can get it stamped in my spring break)
