Hi everyone, I happened to come through this site from an article posted in Enadu newspapper. So, I thought of joining this blog to get your help for planning my future in the US. I am a QA computer science engineer graduated from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I have a work experience of 7 years in total. In Russia I worked for companies like Dynoplex and Quickoffice, both are American based companies. I have seen to US in 2008 on a business visa, Quickoffice has sponsored it. In 2010 I have can back to India and worked here in an Indian company named Robosoft Technologies dealing with Apple applications. I tried a lot to get a job in US but nothing was possible to my fate. Now, I have resigned my job and preparing to do MS in US. Recently gave my IELTS and got a band score of 6, presently preparing for GRE. Also I have heard that for some universities the GRE score is not required. Please let me know if such universities are good universities or not.

After reading about this site I am in a hope that I can find a help to find my route to settle in US. I am not well sound in financial aspects so any thing in my budget level would a great help. Please guide me if I should go for a MS or I can find a job through your help.

Saginaw valley state university... Masters of science in energy and materials .. But IELTS need to be 6.5 or 7

What about state universities who exempt GRE for students who already have a masters degree and applying for another master's degree? (all non-master's degree holders have to submit GRE score)

I dont know much about that, my guess is that they are still not within the top 100-150 universities.

Universities use GRE in order to ensure an academic level, which also helps them decide which students to accept and which not. Usually,but not always, schools that do not require GRE have lower admission standards, and consequently the cohort you may find is not as competitive as other more well-known universities.
