Hello,
I'm in valid F-2 visa status. I wish to do Masters in U.S. but this is not possible being in F-2 status. So, I'm left with two options change of status from f-2 to f-1 in U.S. which takes about 3-4 months or F-1 stamping in India which will be immediate.
I'm planning for F-1 stamping in India, so that I can register for Spring 2015. I have questions regarding
1. Does my current status(F-2) affect F-1 stamping?
2. If F-1 stamping is not done, does my existing F-2 visa gets terminated? Can I enter U.S. again with existing f-2 visa?
3. As I'm in F-2, do I need to carry additional documents (spouse's F-1 documents) unlike regular F-1 applicants?
I would appreciate if anyone can guide me in this situation. Thanks in advance....
