I started my masters in august 2013 and due to academic reason got suspended for fall 2014. Now I am back in India and have only one semester left of my masters. I have got my readmission and I20 is still processing Since I will have new sevis and new visa if I get one then how I can apply for opt?? Since I will complete my masters within one semester. Please let me know my options. Is it possible if I can ask for change in the date of completion on my i20 from the school or any other option available to get opt. thanks a lot in advance.

If the college is letting you finish Masters , I believe there wont be any problem getting OPT. You can delay your graduation, other than that you cannot change the graduation sem..Comment

If you were out of the country for more than 5months then you would be on a new sevis, if not u ll be given a new I-20 with old sevis. About OPT talk to ur DSO.Comment
