Hi, My F1 visa just expired and I will be Joining KSI for software engineering and might have to travel to India in March because of Personal reasons. I was wondering if the consulate will give new Visa for KSI knowing that it provides a CPT to students from day 1. Will it be risky?? I will be joining KSI for MS in Software having received MS in Biotech from Northwestern U in Chicago. Will that be helpful?

1. Well, you should convince the visa officer on why you chose this university. I don't think Visa officers will deny a visa based on the reason that university offers CPT from day 1.
2. Yes. There is little bit of risk involved. However, you should be able to strongly present your case and convince the Visa officer on why you chose MS in Software while having a Biotech from Northwestern U in Chicago.
