Yes, you're ok as long as the new I-20 is issued before the 60 days grace period is over!

Your status will be legal. But you will not be able to work after November, 2014. If you apply for CPT and get approved, you can once again start working when you get the CPT and the semester starts.

F1 Visa Expired and Stem OPT Expiring in Nov: Any info about 60 day grace period ?
Hello
My F1 Visa has expired and Stem OPT will Expire on Nov 24, 2104. I plan to work at my present job till Nov 24, 2014 and then transfer to a new university beginning on 11 Jan 2015.
1. Will I get any 60 day grace period from the time my OPT expires to get an admission in new university ?
2. The new university will generate I-20 in December. Will I be in legal status from the time my OPT Expires to the time the new university generates a I-20 for me ?
3. I don't intend on leaving US in the time being. So, I don't think I will need a new F1 Visa. Am I correct ?
Thanks
