    hi everyone,
    i need your advice on this. i am an F1 student, im in us for 6 months now. i am travelling to india this summer. i need to stay in india for about 95 days.(how many days are we permitted to travel ??)i am coming back to US after a week the college starts(i have contacted my professors they said its okay if i miss my first week class)will i have any complications??what should i do if i had to stay for 95 days??

        1) is should not be a problem, but depends. To be on safe side, take a letter from your professor or graduate coordinator saying you will be late due to some genuine reasons.
        2) summer break should not be a problem & even couple of days after your school officially starts. But if it's one week or more, just take a letter from your prof or concerned authority.

          And yes, you need i20 signed & all. I am assuming you know all other rules & are bothered only about one week late & missing first class.

              If you're travelling for the summer....u just need to get a signature on your I-20 from ur DSO.....with a return date that's it! as long as you don't miss (or stay) away for 6 months (like missing a semester) you should be fine! safe travels!
