You can transfer the university, your status will not be in jeopardy. Make sure your sevis is transferred and you should be all set.

No prob , just make sure the sevis is transferred properly. Be in constant touch with ur new dso till ur sevis is transferred and till u get ur new I20.

That wont be a problem. u are getting ur college transferred, so that's just a Sevis transfer and the college will do it 2-3 days max online. U will be in Status as a student of CSU until ur Sevis is transferred. Once its transferred and the Texas a&m accept, then u become the responsibility of the Texas college as a student. So ur F-1 is safe.

Transfer during First quarter
Transfer during First quarter
Hello sir.
I am not in opt but an F1 student. I am currently enrolled at Cal state University and this is my first quarter which is going to finish on June 15th (I came to US in march).I am planning to transfer to Texas a&m for Fall.
1. Since my current university is offering only prerequisite courses for summer, can I apply for transfer on June 16th as soon as my exams finish and be free for 1 1/2 month? When I asked Texas a&m office they said the free time would be considered as summer holidays.
2. Is this true or will my F1 visa status be in jeopardy? Can I continue and transfer to the new university? Looking forward to your reply.
