Change in SEVIS Number

Hi All,

I came to USA and left immediately to india without staring my masters. My university advised me to differ my admission for next intake (summer). i deferred my admission but i got a different sevis number on my new I20. University advised me that as i left USA immediately they have terminated my SEVIS number and issued a new SEVIS number. I have contacted US SEVIS team regarding the issue they by mistake transferred my SEVIS fee from old sevis number on which i got my visa approved to new sevis number (as per the new I20 number)

1) Will this be a problem for me at the POE or in Future for OPT,H1B as i have different new SEVIS number against my name when compared to the old SEVIS number as per my VISA page in passport

2) I also want to transfer the university after going to USA, will this be a problem for me in future as i have different new SEVIS number against my name when compared to the old SEVIS number as per my VISA page in passport

3) Do i need to contact any one to change the SEVIS number on my VISA page

Thanks for the advise , i also want to transfer for a different univsity after going to us. Could You please advise will that be a problem for me in future (OPT,H1B)
