visa expiration

hi
i am on F1 visa and i will be graduate by may 2015, recently i lost my passport that have my visa which expiration date was dec 2017 but when i applied for reissue of my passport and visa and i went through appointment, i got visa again but it will expire in may 2015 so what i can do to extend this visa validity, by the time it will expire i will be on OPT so if i apply again can i get F1 visa or something else

As long you are in USA. Donot worry of visa...as you have to maintain status that's it.
If you are in opt and want to go back India and then come here yes you have to go to visa

Apply for a new passport in NY in this way you will have your travel document... Indian embassy is in NY... Other thing is once you get your passport go for stamping then ou will have the visa for more than your course... Just make sure that you have all documents to prove ur status when you do that and Mexico is my recommendation... Good Luck...

2 depends on consulate .. remember u can go to consulate as many times if u get to block the date ..

Visa is required only to enter the US. If you are already in the US and your visa expired, you dont have to worry as long as you have a valid I-20 or a valid OPT or EAD card.
