    Can I apply for my PART TIME CPT in my first semester itself or not?

    I've started my school here in Virginia and I'm in my first semester just started and pursuing my Masters in Computer Science Programme. Can I apply for my PART TIME CPT in my first semester itself or not? PLEASE ADVISE WHEN IS BEST TIME TO APPLY. so that my OPT should NOT GET DENIED. I appreciate your help in this.

    No you can apply your Cpt only when you are done with required course work for your masters

      Usually CPT is allowed after 6 months on F-1 Visa but please check with your DSO as there may be some exceptions and policies differ in each school.

        No you cant apply you can apply for CPT after one acedemic year contact ur DSO some schools have different rules and your CPT should be directly related to your major.

          you should finish two full semesters one fall and one spring to supply for cpt
