Can I do work from India while I am on CPT

Hello all, currently i am on F1 visa. I want to know what's the maximum number of days that i can stay in India after fall semester starts. Fall'24 is going to start on Aug 21 in my university, i have my brother's marriage on sept 10, so i am planning to return on sept 15. Is that okay or should I approch i international students office? What to do if they deny the request?

Also can I do work from India while I am on CPT?
