Hi I am an international student admitted for Fall 2021 intake. I have started my CPT on 23 May 2022 and had a got a academic advisor(grad co-ordinator) letter for confirmation of CPT dates from 23 May - 12 August . I had uploaded my required forms for I20 process. And on 23 May I had not received my i20 but was still in the process. On 27 May I got a hold on my CPT application for Reduce Course Load (not a needed document for CPT). I submitted the doc and recently got my new I20 issued for start date of 7 June 2022. I have talked to my international student services body but they have refused to comment or help in this case. What can be possibly done? Please do help I am extremely confused as this is not what I ever imagined to happen in my life as this looks illegal on my part which is surely not what I had wished for. I have also received a payment for 1 week as my payment is on biweekly basis. I have informed my HR as well. and neither they are willing to do anything. Anybody who has any idea about this please do share your knowledge/ experience. I have been recommended to reach out to immigration lawyer. Any suggestions about that are also welcomed.
