With 400k+ registrations this year, I am expecting higher registrations next year.

With 400k+ registrations this year, I am expecting higher registrations next year. If selected, since I don't have Cap Gap, I will have to go back to home country then return on H1B. Is my understanding correct? Are there any options when my CPT expires and H1B is picked in lottery?
