Working on a CPT

Can anyone tell me what would be the status if some get married to a US citizen while on CPT. Is he/she can still work on CPT untill the green card is approved ???

I am not sure how long it would take..
you have to do all paperwork...
and its better if you hire attorney to do that..

I dont know about work, but to get the green card, I think it takes about 4-5 months, at least in Idaho
