Worked 3 days after CPT expired---please help..............
I worked for 3 days after my CPT expired as my summer CPT end date was 12th August and my university gave my fall CPT from August 18th. The school now wants to confirm if I have worked illegally and they want to report to homeland security. I am really worried and not sure what issues this will cause. Can you suggest what should be the best remedial action.So that my university does not report it to homeland security.Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Present a letter that you did not work illegally from you employer... If they report they might revoke your status...Comment

hire attorney.. make sure your uni won't report to DHSComment

U shouldn't have told ur university that u worked after aug 12. Now if u get a letter from ur employer that u worked till aug 12 only should do it but i m not sure if ur univ would buy that as u already told them that u worked past aug 12th.Comment
