CPT Full Time

Hello All,

Currently i am doing my second Master's since my H1B was not picked and also i am on Full time CPT at this moment. The client that i am working for is offering me full time and they are aware of my situation and also willing to apply for my H1B next year. So can i go Full Time to them completely leaving my current consultancy company?

Yes you can.. Just tell them to fill the paper work for cpt and ask your school to update it... Please be ready for query if your h1b is picked... Good luck

I don't think you can work as a full time employee for the client but can work as an intern till your cpt end date. As far as I know universities require that you work only as an intern during cpt and not as full time employee to issue cpt i20.

if you are studying in a univ like harrisburg with one year full time cpt you can go and apply .best suggestion will be stay with the employer and ask them to apply h1 once picked you can .the real question is how will you manage between the semisters when you dont have cpt

Just make sure to get a new cpt i20 noting the change..

Taking CPT will create a lot of problems if you are looking for H1b. As you COS will not be approved. Taking a full time will not be an issue... make sure that your client is willing to do all the paper work for CPT and H1b... Good Luck
