Is it allowed to go over 40 hours on CPT ?

I think during summer semester alone you can work 40 hrs. Still confirm with ur international student adviser

I worked more than 40 hours in CPT...no problem as I checked with International program center in my university

Yes if you have full time work permit i.e CPT, working overtime doesn't effect anything in the future.

yes you can, I am on CPT now and I work like 50 hours every week

I think if u got a authorisation s a full time CPT from ur university thn i dont think there shd be any problem n h1b process in future.still correct me if i m wrong.

My international advisor told me, if you are authorized for a full time CPT and your employer agrees, you can work more than 40 hrs.

You are allowed to work over-time if you are on cpt and if it is only a requirement by the company

If you are authorized for full time. You can definitely work over time. You shouldn't be having any issues in F-1 status.

Hi, I am an International student on F1 VISA and currently out on Summer internship (CPT). In my internship sometimes my work hours go more than 40 because of the work requirement. My manager ,company and me all are fine with it. I just am worried about the thing that this 40+ hour work thing will affect my current F1 or H1B VISA status in future!I am getting paid for those hours if they go above 40. Please let me know as soon as you can! I am worried about it! Thanks in advance!
