Background Check Form - Salary Verification Issue

Hello Everyone,
I am worried about the background check as my employer is asking to verify my previous employment salary as they where unable to contact my employer. I mistakenly entered wrong as the form was showing in USD $ and there was no option for INR. I entered that randomly. Now I need your suggestions and guidance to talk to my HR and should I accept my fault what would be the consequences? Need help urgently, I am scared, it's my CPT starting from next month.
