Summer Internship with 2.9 GPA?

Hi,

I have received a summer internship for this summer. Got the offer letter and started the CPT Process. But now my GPA has fallen to 2.9. Is there any hope for me CPT? I am talking to my professors about this. But can they make an exception for 2.9 GPA for CPT?
