Currently on CPT with a university, H1 got picked in lottery (Premium processing), applied for change of status but concerned about RFE regarding CPT since its not exactly related to work.
1. Is it possible now to change to consular processing? What is the main difference between COS and consular processing?
2. Will SEVIS get terminated if change of status is denied?
3. If I don't respond to RFE, (regarding maintenance of status) what will happen to the application? I read in some forums that it will get 'abandoned' and i have to go to my home country to get stamping. Does it mean only the change of status will be abandoned?
4. In case I travel outside the country when COS is pending or after COS is approved/ denied how will that affect SEVIS?
My F1 visa stamp also expires end of July
