Hi,
My OPT ended on Jan 1, 2015. I joined a school which provides CPT from week -2 and have been on CPT for 2 quarters so far. My company applied for H-1B and I did not get picked in lottery. I am thinking of dropping out of school and not use the CPT option any more and go back to India.
My questions are:
(a) If in the future, my company is applying for H-1B from India with consular petition, would there any be any issue regarding my dropping out of school and the 2 quarter CPT that I availed? Will it be any issue for any future immigration process in the US?
(b) If I apply for PhD program in the future and get admission, will I have any issue at the consulate or USCIS for access into the country again on F-1 since I dropped out of a school?
