  • Earning 75K on CPT- Tax filing

Need information about tax filling on F1 status?

I am earning more than 75 k and also enrolled in collage to get CPT. I am looking for tax advice that whether can we claim the fees that we paid under F1 status for tax filling?

Anyone knows better tax service provider in NY, NJ than could you plz give their details? Thanks

    1) nope, only if you are a resident you can
    2) turbotax, hrblock etc.,

Between it has nothing to do with the amount you earn. No matter of the amount if you receive a w2 tax returns need to be filed.

Dont use TurboTax or HRBlock.. They will get you filed 1040 forms.. Google for 1040NR and file with whoever who does it..

HRBlock does filing for 1040NR as well. We do mention it explictly though

It depends on how long you have resided in the US. If it is more than (I believe) 7 or 8 years you are considered resident for tax purposes
