Cheque

Hi
I am on CPT my employer say he will pay me by Cheque.
I hope it will not cause any problems because they didn't add me to their company account but I got my ssn through the employment letter they gave me. Should I go ahead and deposit the Cheque??? Will it cause a problem in my H1 and immigration??
