Am I eligible for CPT

I will be finishing 1 year of my course work by october this year. I have an offer of Internship from a company from October.
My University says I am not eligible for CPT as it is not in the curriculum.
But my professor is ready to give me a letter stating that this Internship is required for my course work.
How can I convince my University about this so that they will allow me for Internship that too on CPT.
Please help...

each school has it rules .. better to talk to u r seniors who did cpt

If u have electives, you can take 'independent study' as 1 course - this is definitely available for non-stem masters. Don't know abt stem bachelors or masters.
Make sure the company is willing to give you an 'internship credits' letter.

You should personally contact them or put the pressure from the person who have good contact with them. That is the nice thing what you are trying to do. But as per my openion you can go to Oracle industry that has a great demand in the market. And there are lotsoff professional courses of Oracle like Advance Certification of Oracle Bootcamp, Oracle 11g etc. They can build a great carrer for you.
