3 Semester Full time CPT under 365 days?


I am planning to take three full time CPT in my Masters (from May 15th to April 26th). Will it affect my OPT chances. If you calculate in terms of days it is well within 365 days.


I read in the one university website I forgot the university name they mentioned it as if you use one day in the particular month it will be counted as one month.


1. will it work in that way.If that was the case I will use 12 months.
2. Will it affect my opt chances? please advice

If it is more than 12 months then u wont get opt .. Dates are calculated based on u i20 .. In u r case no it wont be grater than 12 months ..
But it is better to talk to u r dso before taking any decision

Based on what I've heard: You can do a full-time (40hrs/week) CPT for 11 months, and if you do the 12th month or more then you can't get OPT.

But in your case - here's the catch, as you are an international student and will have to maintain a 'full-time' student status and so on, how can you do FT CPT for 3 consecutive semesters?
