Eligibility for CPT

I have a doubt regarding my eligibility for curricular practical training. I have dropped a course in my first semester and I have filed a reduced course load form. Though I was enrolled in two consecutive semesters, I have fallen below the full time status in first semester.So am I eligible for CPT and if I am not eligible, Is there any other way by which i can get a CPT? The International office in my school says I need two consecutive full time semesters. So my second semester is counted as full time now but they want me to take 3 courses either in summer or fall to be eligible for CPT but that is too late. Should I call the USA Immigration department directly and confirm whether I am eligible or not. Please help me sort out the situation.

1 cpt should be approved by school ..what ever u r school rules u need meet them first .. Talk to ur dso ..

Most of the universities offer cpt for student after two full semesters. Check with university people

CPT rules varies among universities. You can not generalize. If your school(international office) is firm about their decision ,there is no way you can change it. You can change your school and see if there are some universities who will grant CPT taking in consideration with our situation.
