  • Can we work for a Non E-verified Employer on CPT?

    Hi friends,
    I am working on a CPT in a small company. My employer doesn't participate in E-verify will it be a problem for me in future while applying for OPT/STEM/H1.

      Yes no problem.. in our case everify is only mandate for opt extensions..

        As far as I know CPT is granted by school officials rather than USCIS.
        AN E-VERIFY EMPLOYER MUST RUN STUDENTS ON CURRICULAR PRACTICAL TRAINING through E-Verify system. But Never read or seen this kind of situation.

          everify employers should close the case ( verify) every new employee they hire .. a stem opt can only work.for.everify participated employer .. CPT is given by sevip(part of USCIS) but dso.is the only person.can.talk to sevip for any updates ..
