[B] Shah Peerally:[/B] Yes there will be a lottery.

[B] DesiOPT:[/B] How many petitions are expected to be filed this year?
[B] Shah Peerally:[/B] I assume there will be around 200k applications

[B] DesiOPT:[/B] When will petitioners know about rejections?
[B] Shah Peerally:[/B] By beginning of June or End May we should start knowing about rejections.

[B] DesiOPT:[/B] What are the risks for Duplicate filing?
[B] Shah Peerally:[/B] Duplicate filing unless with the same company should not be a problem. However inconsistencies in the packages can result in denials or worse fraud.

[B] DesiOPT:[/B] What are the Options if H-1B is not selected?
[B] Shah Peerally:[/B] One of the options which is not a great option are student visas and possible CPT (although not recommended). Then L1 if possible, EB1a, O visas and U visas. Read about them on www.splgpc.com. One of the great options this year are for H4 visa holders with the new EAD rule. People should talk to a good lawyer for options. Sometimes there are amazing unknown options.
