    WIll be in status if we difffer a sem ?

    Hello all,
    I do have a question, my opt expires on jan 15, i applied for spring intake in CPT University, ssuppose if i differ it to may , will i be in status or will i losse my status ? as grace period is for only 60 days which will end on march 13?so what will be my status from march 13 to may 7..
    can i work for my client from jan to may if i choose to differ sem?

    If university agrees to differ your intake you can maintain status. However make sure you transfer your sevis to them before it is completed and they should be willing to hold your sevis till your next sem.

    Meanwhile can we work in between March 13 to May 7 ?

    No you cannot, you must enroll in order to work

    My OPT ends on Feb 15
