    Question Passport Damaged

    Hi,

I am currently working on OPT as a contractor. I have applied for OPT extension as well and I did not get my H1b.
I happened to damage the passport when i tried to glue it since the binding was coming apart. However, personal details page, visa are all good. I recently learnt that US visa will not be printed on a damaged passport.

    What are the odds?
    1. If I travel to India with the same passport?
    2. If I get a new passport from Indian embassy and I travel with 2 passports, should i go for F1 visa stamping which is valid till 2019? also should i update my new passport to USCIS for already applied OPT extension?

Thanks for your time and response

I suggest you get a new passport as mutilated passport can be problematic. Visa stamping is easy as it will be done in dropoff facility as your previous visa and passport would be available.

Don't put any glue , staple or tape.

If it turn into 2 parts also ntg will happen . But if u do anything to stick it. It will be a problem . It's considered as tampering .

Instead of posting here . Call Houston . They will issue new poss port or at least a temporary one .

    Yes, it is mutilated.

I Have F1 Visa on it, Is drop-off facility available for F1?. Are there any chance of getting rejected for the same?
