    Need help regarding H1B transfer

I am currently on H1B. I have a full time job with my current employer.Recently I got a consulting offer from a small consultancy firm. Got a project through them and they filed H1B transfer for me which is currently in process.
Wanted to know if I can stay back with my current employer even if my H1B gets transferred ( I did not resign with my current employer so far). Would like to know if I decide to stay back with my current employer and do not work with consultancy after my H1B gets transferred with them, would it cause any legal problems for me? Can the consultancy send legal notices to me?

You are not required to join the company who filed the change of employer H-1B petition. As long as your H-1B remains valid, you can remain with your current employer.
Regarding legal issues with not joining the new company, you will need to check the terms of the contract or offer letter you signed.

once the transfer is done you have to work with the new employer .he can revoke your h1 at any time .

this question so weird! You have to work with the employer who has your H1B!!

Until your original h1b is revoked you are fine to work with the old employer. But you need to talk to the consultancy to withdraw the petition.

P.S. This is not a legal advice
