    H1B stamping question

    Hi,

My H1B got denied in 2017 and he also denied OPT extension because of violating unemployment rule in initial opt period. SO I went to out of status. My attorney suggested that get an I-20,leave the country and come back. I've a valid F1 visa and I got an I-20 with same SEVIS. I went to Mexico after 20 days of getting that notice from my attorney and came back to the US and I-94 got updated and then joined in CPT. Later, I got client full time and filed my H1 in 2018 which got approved. I've a travel plan to India next month and should attend fir H1b stamping.

While filling DS-160,there is a question that - 'Have you ever been unlawfully present or over stayed or violation of US visa'?. What should I answer to this?.

if Yes - does it impacts my H1B stamping and at port of entry?.
No -If they able to pull it and question me?.

What are the consequences in both the cases.

    Thanks,
