    Exclamation H1B visa stamping

    Hello,

I have an approved H1B/I-797A with valid I-94 attached to it.

Is it mandatory to visit home country to get H1B visa stamping for the first time?

Instead can the Visa stamping be done in Canada?

Please share your thoughts regarding this.

    Thank you.

You don’t have to go for stamping at all. Your status has already changed or will change to H-1B as of the validity date on the H-1B approval notice.
If you want to get your H-1B stamped, you can go for stamping in Canada if you have a US degree.
