H1b multiple filings

Hi,

I am awaiting my F1 OPT Extension approval. I am expecting it to get approved by end of April. My current employer will file for H1b in the beginning of April. I am also interviewing with another company who is ready to file for H1b this April. The problem is i can’t resign from my current job until i get my STEM extension approved. But if I don’t resign both my current and future employer would file for H1b. I expect to join my new job in May. Will filing of 2 H1b petition be a problem? Both companies are not related in any way. They serve different industries.
