OPT STEM Extension RFE for providing correct e-verify # and Employer name.
Hello Everyone,
I applied for my stem extension on 4th June and received RFE stating to provide the employer name and E-verify # listed in the e-verify database. My situation now is that the company I work - child company is e-verified and is added as a location to the parent company e-verify Account. Whenever I request for my company e-verify # , HR provides me with the e-verify # for the parent company. I am able to find the parent company in the e-verify database(E-Verify website) but not the child company.
Below are my queries and concerns:
1. The parent company and child company have separate name with separate Employer Identification Number (EIN). Does it mean that each company needs to have a separate
E-verify # for parent as well as child entity? Is it current setup of both the companies e-verify Accounts done properly?
2. Also, If I give my parent company name and E-verify # on the Form i765, my i-20 lists the child company through which I applied for STEM OPT Extension. Will that be a problem for my OPT STEM Extension?
