I am on F1 Visa on active STEM OPT and my girlfriend is a Green Card holder. We are planning to get married in the next one month this year. But neither of us know what is the process of getting married here? and what all things we need to consider? and what documentation needed to be completed by us? Please help! Thank you!

1. Goto court house and get married
2 . File i485 adjustment of status with all necessary documents like photos and marriage certificate etc
3. File for advance parole and work permit as well

If your girlfriend is only a green card (not a US citizen), you can not immediately obtain legal status by marriage. Contact us about a Master's degree and Day 1 CPT.Comment

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know the procedures. I am a U.S. citizen and I was asked to consider marrying if someone on h1b/opt, so I am looking at procedures how it would be to marry someone who is on h1b or opt just in case.Comment
