    Help!!! I765 late submission concern

I filed my application on July 5th via usps and it got delivered on 6th per usps tracking. My current EAD expired July 12th. My concern is does the date it got delivered at the Lockbox count as 'received', or the date they 'receipt' my application counts? I'm worried that if they receipt it after my current EAD expiration date, is it a late submission then?? Since it takes 1-2 weeks for them to send the receipt notice...

Even if the receipt notice takes time to be issued, the day USCIS receives the application is the receipt date. On the receipt notice, this is why they list the Receipt Date and Notice Date separately. The receipt date, however, may be one day after it is received at USPS at the PO box as USCIS may not pick up the mail until the next day. In your case, it wouldn’t matter as your OPT didn’t expire until the 12th.
