I am very confused about the job location amendment on H1B. plz help
Scenario 1:
I have my H1B approved by employer A. I would like to move to a different location within the same company, after October 1. I have to travel to India in November during thanksgiving, so I have to get my Visa stamped
1. Assuming my employer agrees to change of location, what would be the procedure for amendment?
2. Approximate processing time for amendment approval?
3. Is it safe to travel to India during thanksgiving for stamping in case amendment is still in process.
Scenario 2:
I don't change my location and go to India for stamping in November and come back in December after stamping.
1. If I change my job location within the same company after approval, is it necessary to get my Visa stamped again if I go to India in 2019?
2. If I change my location after December in the same company, do I have to wait until my amendment is approved, to change employer?
3. If I do change my employer, is it necessary to get a new stamp again when I visit India in 2019, though my H1B is still valid?
Sorry for the long post. Please let me know. It's urgent to decide what to do since I am getting married in December and scared about problems while re-entering USA.
