    Post Drive Uber with F1 SSN

    I am new user here. I am on OPT. I got my SSN. Can i Drive Uber for expenses. Will it effect to get h1. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

    I understand you asked this because you are in a difficult situation as MOST students are at some point in their life in this country.

    The answer is YES. You can technically work for any paying/ non paying job, as long as you have a SSN and work auth. Technically. However, OPT is given for a student to expand their practical knowledge in their area of learning. It is designed such a way that students can learn the real world knowledge while applying what they learnt at school and make some money in the meantime. Abusing this opportunity will gravely hurt your legal status in the country if you are ever under scruitny. I would recommend you not to work for uber or anything that is not relavent to the program you learnt. Wish you all the best.

    One of my frd got into accident while driving Uber and got deported.
    Try to learn new technologies
    Rather then risking ur Valuable EAD in US...!!!

    I would suggest you to read the rules of opt from uscis website. You need to educate yourself
