I got a question about my re-entry in US. I have a valid visa till Sep 2018. I've completed my BS in dec 2011 and my OPT STEM EAD expires on July 2014 (Last date at work is July 15th). I have a plan to take a break till Dec 2014. So I will be leaving the USA by the end of July. I have been already apply for new school for Masters program and got the admission for Spring 2015 (I-20 is not updated yet)

I talked to new school DSO regarding transfer. He said that leave the country within 60 days from EAD expiration date and let him know exact return date so he can issue new I-20, I need to pay SEVIS fee and come back with new SEVIS I-20 and OLD F-1 visa.

So My question is Do I need to go to U.S. consulate to change SEVIS number? Travel on valid visa and new I-20 will allow me to enter in US?
