I am a graduate student am currently on CPT(part time) with a company off campus

I have started working here on 03/17/2014, and I did not receive any paycheck for the first two weeks I worked(18.5*2=37). For the next two weeks I worked for another(37.5 HRS). Today I received a paycheck for 74.5 HRS but the hours reported were for just the last two weeks. So technically my paycheck says I have worked for 74.5 HRS for two week period between 03/29/2014 and 04/14/2014.

I spoke to the payroll in charge and she says that it cannot be changed now but she can print out a letter stating the situation. I am worried about the problems I will run into because of this. Could you please advise me on the best course of action.

It is always a good idea to keep a copy of the work hrs you submit every week. + as long as they are providing you an explaination in writing on their letter head, yu should be absolutely fine.
