    Two of my friends have applied for OPT in Dec '12 and they still didn't get their opt

    Two of my friends have applied for OPT in Dec '12 and they still didn't get their opt approved! When they contacted USCIS asked them to wait for 180 days. What do you think might be the issue? Any suggestions or comments on this?

    There are many reasons that could happen from other posts on our facebook wall, it seems if you forgot to sign or if you fill up incorrectly or background checks, etc - Readers please do share your experience

      We received this comment from a reader who wants to share his experience anonymously - It takes way more than 3 months in some cases hold your breadth tight until then, usually chances of OPT getting rejected are very slim its just the matter of time but in the mean while calling USCIS is waste of time.

        It also depends on your opt start date that you might have given
