Hello All,

I really appreciate all your efforts in helping ppl like us.

Currently I am working on Full time CPT which will be finishing on 20th Dec-2013. I have applied for OPT which is in processing as of now. But, I need to travel to India for 3 weeks in early November-2013 and probably would return by Nov 20th-25th. Is it advisable to travel at this juncture . If yes, what are the documents which i need to carry and any suggested port of entries in east coast.

For how many days did you work in Fulltime CPT, as I know if one works for more than 12 months in FT CPT, OPT wouldn't be processed. FYI: it may vary from university to univ, please check before.

If you are yet to graduate while you are traveling then the regular documents like passport,i20,i94 should be good. if u r traveling after graduating then to return back you should have a offer letter n u should return before ur opt start date. if you are going to continue the same job then u may need some letter from ur employer telling u r working with them n will be working them when u return.
